Kim Webster

Kim is often referred to as grace under pressure by the teams she has been privileged to work with. She is passionately committed to people development, social impact and social cohesion projects that offer systemic and sustained change.

With 17 years’ experience across the fields of Communications, Corporate Governance, B-BBEE, Fundraising, Government Relations and Sustainability, Kim has honed her skills working within the corporate and NGO sector in South Africa with previous client work across Africa as well as Europe and the US.

Her corporate experience comes from working for organisations like CPUT, Ackermans, ACSA, Virgin Active, the World-Wide Fund for Nature and The Sunflower Fund. Kim’s qualifications include: Public Relations Management & Project Management (CPUT) as well as Retail Management (UNISA).

At the peak of her career, she ran a consulting business for four years, before giving it up to focus on her family. Some of her clients were: The Cape Chamber of Commerce, Woolworths, Javan Manufacturing, Azapak, Exactrans, SAREBI, GreenCape, Teen Entrepreneur Foundation and JRS Biodiversity Foundation to name a few.

She re-entered the consulting space three years ago consulting mainly in the role of Business Development & Communications for The Sunflower Fund as well as project-based assignments for the Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation, ProCare Holdings and Northlink College.

• Board Member: Planetshakers Empower – until May 2020
• Board Member: Brownies & Downies – until December 2019
• Advisory Member: Public Relations Industry Advisory Committee -current
• Deputy Secretary for Information & Publicity, Organisation of African Youth -2013/2014
• Vice President – Cape Town Chapter, International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) – 2012
• Guest Lecturer for the Raymond Ackerman Academy 2013/2014
